LitteraBytes is operated by Jose Galeano (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the LitteraBytes iOS app or contact us about it.

Game progress and settings
You can play without creating an account. The app stores your language and hint preferences, unfinished games, answers, scores, game results, timestamps, and play duration on your device. It creates a random local player identifier to associate your game records.
We use this information to save and resume games and display your statistics. The current app does not upload this gameplay database to a LitteraBytes server or synchronize it through a LitteraBytes account. Device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple settings.
The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise device location.
Advertising and privacy choices
LitteraBytes uses Google AdMob to display advertisements after eligible completed games. Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic and performance information. This data supports ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service operation. Personalized advertising depends on applicable consent requirements, device permissions, and advertising settings.
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising privacy choices where applicable. These services may store consent preferences and use local storage or similar technologies.
When available, you can revisit your choices under Settings → Ad privacy options. Declining consent does not prevent you from playing; it may change which ads are available or whether ads are shown.
The current app does not request Apple’s tracking permission or intentionally access the advertising identifier (IDFA). Other advertising-related data may still be processed as described above.

Purchases
Apple processes the optional Remove Ads purchase through the App Store. The app uses Apple’s verified purchase information to determine whether ads should be disabled and to restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.
Once ownership is verified, the app stops requesting and showing ads. Removing ads does not erase information previously processed by advertising providers. Apple handles its purchase records under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use this to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and maintain necessary correspondence. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information. Email service providers may process this correspondence to deliver and store it.
Purposes and legal grounds
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request for essential app functionality, consent where required for advertising-related processing, and legitimate interests in responding to support requests and maintaining security, subject to your rights. We may also process information when necessary to comply with legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
Local game records remain on your device until the app’s data is deleted. Deleting the app removes its local gameplay data; merely offloading it may retain that data. Backups and Apple purchase records are managed separately through Apple.
We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Google and Apple retain information they process according to their own policies. We do not set their retention periods or directly control deletion from their systems.
Service providers and international processing
Information processed by Google, Apple, and email providers may be handled in countries outside your own. Their privacy policies explain their processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards.
We may disclose information we hold when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and prevent abuse.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Contact litterabytes@joseagaleanoc.com to make a request. We may need information to verify your identity. We cannot retrieve gameplay records that exist only on your device. Requests relating to information held independently by Google or Apple may need to be made directly to them.
Children
LitteraBytes is a word game for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age for digital consent where they live, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Game records stay on the device. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us at litterabytes@joseagaleanoc.com and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or request consent where required.
